Fenugreek

Fenugreek can be beneficial for both type 1 and type 2 diabetes. Research has shown the people who have type 2 diabetes will benefit from adding fenugreek to their foods. They did not experience as high a blood sugar spike after eating as they normally would have without the added fenugreek. For those with type 1 diabetes, taking the spice in a capsule form as a supplement, there was a decrease in the amount of sugar in their urine.

When you are using herbs or spices for medical reasons, it is important that you have the freshest ones available. This is why you should buy healthy spices online from a reputable seller. If possible, buy things in their whole form and grind them up as you need them. Ground or powdered herbs and spices you buy from a grocery store may have been sitting for months, or even a few years, since they were harvested. This will cause a decrease in their effectiveness. Suppliers who grow their own herbs, or buy direct from the grower will have fresher products so you have better results.
